Research into the conversational implicature in Pride and Prejudice from the perspective of pragmatics

语用学是对有目的的语言活动的研究,也是研究文学语言特征的有力工具。借助语用学中的合作原则和礼貌原则来分析小说《傲慢与偏见》中的会话含义,清楚地反映出语言形式和语言使用者之间的关系,从而揭示小说人物鲜明的性格特征、交际意图和社会关系。

Pragmatics is the study of language activity with intention as well as a powerful tool for the research into literary language characteristics. According to the cooperation principle and politeness principle of pragmatics, this paper analyses the implicature in Pride and Prejudice, revealing the relationship between language form and language users, the character feature of figures of the novel, communicative intention and social relation.
