The slow drift toward lighter fare at those traditional news magazines showed no signs of abating; only few maintained providing more hard fare; some leant away from hard-news coverage after the presidential election, then returned to more ＂culture＂ reporting; over all, entertainment titles kept growing in the magazine industry. And the format and formula of the traditional news magazines would be challenged by that from The Week and Economist.
