要鉴定洛阳唐三彩，首先要了解洛阳的历史，了解洛阳唐三彩的发展沿革，洛阳的历史源渊流长，最早成为中华民族的政治，经济，文化中心。因而早在夏代，就已有原始瓷在夏都城中使用。汉代洛阳开始有低温釉陶器出现。

The author summarizes the features of tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang dynastry excavated from tombs and kins and puts forward some key points in appesising this kind pattery through comparison with counterfeits in the current market.
