在河北民间舞蹈中,地秧歌是艺术性最鲜明、表现力最强的四大舞种之一,而冀东地秧歌又是河北地秧歌中的优秀代表。地秧歌音乐的构成要素有声乐部分和器乐部分的大杆唢呐曲。

Of all the folk dances in Hebei, the yangge dance is one of the four most vivacious, artistic and expressive dances in Hebei. The yangge dance in east of Hebei is typical of such folk dances. The musical components of the yangge are the suona horn, a woodwind instrument, and the melody compatible to both singing and musical tunes.
