农民工政治参与边缘化成因浅析

Defining Political Participation and Rural Workers' Political Participation

农民工政治参与是我国政治文明建设的重大问题,然而随着社会转型的加快,农民工的政治参与却在乡村和城市走向边缘化,其成因是多方面的,但主要原因是二元社会结构的制度性障碍、经济因素、组织性障碍、农民工意识薄弱等。要真正实现农民工平等的政治参与,就必须加快法制进程,消除制度阻隔,强化宏观调控,倡导人文关怀,拓宽参与渠道,提升主体素质。

Despite the differences found in the definitions of political participation in China and western countries, there still exist some similarities among them. This paper, based on the understanding of these sim-ilarities （or general principles） and the reasonable content about the definition, defines the concept of rural workers＇ political participation with general theories with an eye on the reality of political life in China, and proposes that an institutionalized participation system should be built for rural workers so that they will be able to safeguard their own interest and increase their political participation as their economic status and living standard improve.
