王宁先生主编的《训诂学》是一部体系科学、内容新颖而又充实的训诂学教材。首先,本教材建立了科学的、有利于初学者入门的训诂学教学体系。其次,《训诂学》在内容上充分吸收了章炳麟、黄侃、陆宗达、王宁先生的训诂学研究成果:从理论上阐明了文意训释和词义训释的差别;澄清了造意和实义的区别;阐明了义与训的关系;对于词义考证的步骤、类型和结构作了详尽的介绍。但是,本书的理论体系在局部地方还有补充、改写的必要,个别地方也存有常识性失误等。

The Chinese Exegetics edited by professor Wangning（王宁） is a good teaching material which has a scientific system, with novel nascent and rich contents. Firstly, the teaching material has set up a teaching system which is scientific and do good to beginners; Secondly, this book has absorbed many research achievements , such as Zhang Binglin（章炳麟）, Huangkan（黄侃）, Lu Zongda（陆宗达） and Wangning（王宁） herself. Its advantages are in the clarification of the differences between wenyixunshi（文意训释） and ciyixunshi（词义训释）theoretically; the differences between zaoyi（造意） and shiyi（实义） ; the differences between yi（义.） and xun（训）; and a detailed introduction from the procedures, types and structures as to textural research. However, there are some disadvantages in it, For instance,some parts needs to be added or rewrite according to the theoretical system;There are some obvious commonplace mistakes in some place.
