帅机和汤显祖是明代江西临川的著名才子。两人文名卓著,交情笃厚,唱和赏音,结为莫逆之交,特别是帅机以其赤诚之心和博学之才,对汤显祖剧作进行批评,开创汤显祖“临川四梦”剧作批评之先河,对汤显祖剧作是十分有益的帮助,并迅速扩大了“临川四梦”的社会影响。

Shuai Ji and Tang Xianzu are both famous genius of Lin Chuan, Jiangxi in Ming Dynasty. They not only were experts in art, adnited and affected each other, but also intimate friends. Especially, Shuai Ji made Criticism on Tang＇ s dramas with sincerity and well-learned knowledge and became the first to criticize Tang＇ s Four Dreams of Lin Chuan, which was very helpful to Tang＇ s dramas and then extended the social influence of ＂Four Dreams of Lin chuan. ＂
