There are many kinds of dialect islands in Anji County, Zhejiang Province. , among which the Hubei dialect island is the second largest one with great distribution and a large population. This article introduces the history of the Hubei dialect island and its language life, and then makes a systematic comparison between the dialect island and its source dialects. Finally, by comparing this dialect island with Wu dialects and Mandarin, we conclude that it belongs to mandarin.
