Development of Inter-cultural Communicative Competence From the Perspective of Pragmatic Competence

语用能力和交际能力具有内在的关联性,语用能力是交际能力的重要组成部分。具备一定的语用能力则有助于了解中西文化差异及交际准则差异,在跨文化交际中可尽量少犯语用错误,从而避免语言表达不得体和跨文化交际失败。

The author theoretically probes into the pragmatic competence and communicative competence, and explores the relevance between these two aspects, expounding and proving that pragmatic competence is the important component that constitutes communicative competence, hence clarifying that the possessing of pragmatic competence in English teaching contributes to learners＇ understanding the difference between the Sino- western cultures, making less pragmatic errors and avoiding communicative failures in the international communication.
