英汉翻译中的“达意”和“传神”

Conveying Ideas and Lifelikeness in English-Chinese Translation

在翻译实践的过程中,除了在对原文句法、语义、语境完全理解以外,还需要根据汉语的实际表达的习惯和方式,在遵循翻译标准和符合翻译规律的基础上,实现对原文进行再创作的过程。在“达意”的基础上,进而达到“传神”的翻译效果。

On the basis of practice of English-Chinese translation, the essay shows how to fulfill the recreation of the original text and conform to the translation principle according to the practical ways and habits of Chinese in the course of it through some concrete examples. And it also comes up with the writer＇s own views on accomplishing ＂lifelikeness＂ effect and improving the quality of translation on the basis of ＂conveying ideas＂ in translation.
