A Study on the Negative Adverb"FU"in Bamboo Slips of Shanghai Museum

对上博简否定副词“弗”的考察表明:“弗”字句的谓语主要是动词谓语,动宾结构做谓语可能是古语的留存;“弗”的主语多为在上者;“弗”在复合句中多处于后续句中,“弗”与“不”的连用有一定的规律。

The investigation of the Chinese negative adverb＂ FU＂ in bamboo slips of Shanghai museum indicates that most of＂ FU＂ sentence structures have a verb as their predicate; the structure of verb-object predicate could be the remainder of ancient Chinese ; most of the subjects of＂ FU＂ structures are words with the meaning of persons in the upper level of the society; most of＂ FU＂ structures follow other sentences in complex sentences. In addition, there are some rules while＂ FU＂ and＂ BU＂ appear in the same sentence.
