The Modern Ideas of Yunnan Students Studying in Japan in the Late Qing Dynasty:A Case Study of Yunnan and Yunnan Paper

在近代中国的留学浪潮中,大批有志青年来到日本,创办了大量进步报刊,宣传革命思想和爱国主义。从云南留日学生创办的《云南》杂志和《滇话》报刊可以看出晚清云南留日学生的国民思想、国家观念、云南观和社会改良思想,他们将个人命运与国家前途紧密联系在一起,并积极倡导女子教育、风俗改革等社会改良思想。

In modem times, quite a few ambitious Chinese youth went to study in Japan and started some patriotic papers and magazines for popularizing revolution, of which Yunnan and Yunnan Paper are two well-known ones by Yunnan students studying in Japan. Yunnan and Yunnan Paper reflect their ideas about the country, the social and customary reforms, their fate bound with China＇s future and the advocacy for women＇s education.
