摘要
反讽作为言语行为的语用策略受到许多研究者的关注。前人从不同的角度对其进行了研究,但大多注重其理解或生成。本文对反讽的语用功能进行了综述,认为反讽的宏观语用功能可以用面子论来概括,即对说话人自身和听话人面子的照顾。同时,本文还将从说话人和听话人视角探讨其微观语用功能。
This paper is to explicate on the pragmatic function of verbal irony, and proposes that the macro-prag-matic function of verbal irony can generally be explained by face-saving theory. Meanwhile, it will also delve into its major micro-pragmatic functions according to both the speaker and hearer＇s perspectives.
