On Life Narration in the Novel

生命叙事是以生命为主体的叙事,它从对肉身的关怀逐步推进到类似宗教的精神境界。生命叙事是对生命现实的沉痛反思,它把对人类心灵意义的叩问并且力图给人类的心灵以慰藉和照耀作为自己的使命。生命叙事既要切入又要超越个体的生命体验,达到一种对人类的现实境遇以及人类生存本身的苦难与意志的同情和超拔,其最终的目标是催发、振奋人的蓬勃强健的精神力量。生命叙事应该成为“人学”小说最基本最重要的叙事方式。

Life narration is the narration based on life itself, which is extended to the concern with religion - like spirit from human body. It shows the deep thought of the life reality. It aims to explore the inner world and provide consolation to the soul. Not only should the narration be pertinent to the individual＇ s life experience, but also should be above it at the same time so as to show sympathy with the human sufferings in the worldly life and transcend them. Its target is to stimulate human spiritual vigor. So life narration is the fundamental mode of narration in the novel.
