作为语言和思维发展的产物，因果表达的使用非常普遍。即使是英语简单句中也多隐含着因果关系。本文从认知-功能视角讨论英语简单句因果功能的成因，分析它们的因果句法结构和语义结构，并探讨它们的翻译方法。

As products of language and thought, cause-effect expressions are commonly used, and implied even in simple sentences. This paper discusses the formation of implied cause-effect relationship of basic patterns and analyses their syntactic and semantic structures from a cognitive-functional perspective, and explores ways of translating them.
