Truth is Universal——On the Understanding of Several Issues in Deng XiaoPing Theory

邓小平理论是全面的辩证的,在学习研究和应用邓小平理论时应坚持真理的辩证全面性。邓小平关于解放思想就是实事求是的论断,是以尊重客观规律和客观条件为前提的,并不只是提倡胆子大。他在关系中国改革发展的大局时,从来都是要问姓资姓社的;他决不反对问姓资姓社,而反对混淆姓资姓社。他强调社会主义的根本原则是坚持公有制,坚决反对私有化。他明确指出社会主义市场经济下,市场与计划是互相补充的,而不是互相排斥的。

Deng Xiaoping Theory is universal and dialectical. In studying ans applying the theory, we should adhere to the universal and dialectical nature of truth. Deng Xiaoping＇s argument that emancipating the mind is to seek truth from the facts is based on the essential prerequisite of objective laws, not only having a brave mind. When referring to China＇s reform and development, he said that we always ask whether this is socialist or that is capitalist, but we should not be confused by these two. He emphasied that the radical principle of socialism is to stick to the pubic ownership instead of privatization. He also pointed out that market and planning are complementary and do not exclude each other withing the socialist market system.
