Objective: To study the relationship between the change of cutaneous microflow and the duration of type 2 diabetes.Method: Post-Occlusion Reactive Hyperaemia(PORH)was applied to obstruct the left forearm blood flow. Cutaneous microflow of type 2 diabetic patients whose duration was less than 5 years (n=17) and more than 15 years (n=17) were measured by Laser Doppler Flowmetry (LDF). Results: The maximum cutaneous microflow of left forearm decreased markedly with the duration of type 2 diabetes( P<0.01);The reactive hyperaemia was more rapid in patients with shorter duration (P<0.05).Conclusion: Cutaneous microangiopathy gets worse with the increasing duration in type 2 diabetes.
