现代社会人与环境的矛盾日益凸显,生态资源的不可再生和环境的恶化成为无法回避和必须解决的问题。可持续发展观赋予包装设计以新的内涵和历史使命,它不仅要求包装设计与环境协调发展,而且要求包装设计成为人类文明进步、科技发展的载体。

The contradiction between human being and the environment has become increasingly prominent. The non - renewable resources and environinental degradation become unavoidable problems of today＇ s society, which should be solved in no delay. The sustainable development concept gives packaging design a new meaning and mission. According to the requirement of sustainable development, packaging design should not only develop coordinately with the environ- ment, but also be the carrier of the progress of human civilization and the carrier of the development of science and technology.
