A Tentative Study of Ancient Chinese Women's Poetry Translation from Differences between Chinese and Western Images

中国古代女性诗人的诗词构成了古典文学王国中一道独特的风景线,女性诗人的创作笔触细腻而温婉,感情内敛而真挚,栖鸟、浮云、晓风等意象常常出现从而为女性诗词塑造了清丽脱俗的优美意境。本文试图从东西方意象的异同方面通过两个实例的具体分析对中国古代女性诗人诗词翻译作初步探讨,以期在翻译过程中更好地传递意象再现原诗的意境。

Ancient Chinese women＇ s poetry constitutes a peculiar scenery of the classical Chinese literature. Ancient Chinese women poets are gentle and soft, as well as their poems. They expressed their subtle feelings through calm languages, using lots of images and splendid artistic conception. From the point of differences between Chinese and western notions of images, the translation of their poems was dealt via analyzing two specific poems. The aim is to better reproduce images in ancient Chinese women poets＇ writings and their artistic conception in the process of translation.
