The Harmonic Development of Economic Growth and Economic Society:A Case Study of Tianjin

发展经济学的基本原理说明,经济增长不等于经济发展。天津市经济增长和经济发展的实例证明,应该而且可以实现经济增长和经济社会和谐发展的统一。必须把提高经济效益摆到经济增长的首位,纠正片面追求GDP增长的倾向;要将经济增长与经济发展有机结合,以人为本,保持国民经济全面协调可持续发展。

According to the theory of Development Economics, economic growth is not equivalent to economic development. The practice of Tianjin＇s economic growth and economic society development provides evidence that the harmonic development of economic growth and economic society should and can be realized. Priority should be given to economic efficiency during the course of economic growth and the tendency of single-mindedly pursuing GDP growth should be corrected. Economic growth should be effectively combined with economic development in spirit of human-orient strategy so that we could maintain the harmonic and sustainable development of the national economy.
