评《商君书》的“自治”观

Commenting the Outlook on "Autonomy" from the Book Entitled Shangjunshu

在《商君书》中,比较早地出现“自治”一词。此处之“自治”,其意即在法制的框架内,民众做好自己的份内的职事;它并不主张个人的权利和自由,而是要求在专制主义下无条件的服从。因此,《商君书》中的“自治”观,不能作为当代中国政治文明建设的思想资源和政治资源。

The word ＂autonomy＂ was precociously put forward in the book entitled Shangjunshu. The word ＂autonomy＂ here means the management of one＇s own affairs by the general masses within the legal framework, which does not claim personal rights and freedom as much as the unconditional obedience under despotism. Hence, the outlook on ＂autonymy＂ from the book entitled Shangjunshu cannot be used as ideological and political resources in the present-day political and civilized construction in China.
