工程概况：纳尔逊-阿金斯美术馆改扩建工程肩负着艰巨的任务该扩建工程要使纳缸逊-阿金斯美术馆不仅能够更好的为社区服务．同时要体现馆内收藏的34．500多件艺术品的灵魂。纳尔逊-阿金斯美术馆改扩建工程的范围．改建1933年建造的纳尔逊网金斯美术馆根据各种学科重新排列馆内大量的藏品．设计建造新建筑．扩展原有雕塑园并重新做景观设计．使新的建筑和新的景观融为一体。
Fact Sheet： The Neison-Atkins Museum of Art has undertaken an institution-wide transformation, allowing it to better serve the community and present its renowned collection of more than 34,500 works of art The ambitious project encompasses renovation of the original 1933 Nelson-Atkins building, the multidisciplinaty reinstallation of the Museum＇s vast encyclopedic collection, and construction of the new building, designed by internationally renowned architect Steven Holl. In addition, the Sculpture Park that surrounds the buildings will be expanded and re-landscaped to integrate with the addition and incorporate new sculptures into the grounds.
