摘要
通过对网络外部性理论进行分析,对网络外部性(Network externality)以及梅特卡夫定律(Metcalfe's law)的简述,在Katz、Shapiro等学者对网络外部性研究的基础之上引入效用函数,并着重以移动通信技术的选择为例,以效用函数为核心建立简单的数学模型,从消费者、运营商、政府三个方面综合分析,最终近似得出移动通信技术选择的可行性区域,旨在为我国移动通信业的持续发展,提供一种思维角度和方法。
Through the analysis of the theory of network externality, this paper discusses the network externality and Metcalfe's law. Based on the research on network externality by Katz and Shapiro, the paper introduces utility function and takes the choice of mobile communication technology as an example, establishing the simple mathematical model centering on utility function. From the comprehensive analysis of consumer, operator and government, the feasibility region of the choice for mobile communication technology is approximately gained. The paper aims to give an approach for the sustainable development of Chinese mobile communication.
