The basic operational principle of the digital pulse width modulation was introduced. The
method and arithmetic used to realize digital pulse width modulation were introduced detailedly. At the same time, the current development and typical application were introduced. It is beneficial to the development of the digital PWM. It shows that digital PWM is accurate and practical. Finally, it concludes that digital PWM is an advanced technology with wide applications.
