摘要
基于RISC的ARM微处理器近年来发展迅速,并在工业控制、无线通信、网络应用等领域得到了广泛的应用。利用ARM微处理器实现图像的小波变换,并根据ARM本身的结构特点提出了一种改进的嵌入式零树编码算法,以便在ARM微处理器上实现图像压缩。实验证明,具有较好的有损压缩效果。该研究对基于硬件平台的算法优化设计具有指导作用。
ARM based on RISC develops rapidly in recent years and are applied to many fields,such as industrial control, wireless communications, network applications and so on. In this article, implementation of the image wavelet transform is given based on ARM microprocessor. The paper describes a modified embedded zerotrees coding algorithm adapting to the ARM microprocessor's structure,which improves the image compression based on the ARM microprocessors. It is shown the algorithm achives good performance of lossy image compression. This is valuable to guide the algorithm's optimal design based on a certain hardware platform.
