以往对叶芝诗歌中女性形象的研究多集中在叶芝早年爱慕的女演员毛德·岗身上,多数人认为叶芝诗歌以歌颂该女士的美貌及表达对其求而不得的思念及伤感为主。但通过对叶芝诗歌创作中众多女性形象的细致分类、总结,可以看出叶芝诗歌中女性形象创作的多样性以及内容表达的丰富性。

In the study of Yeats, the famous Irish poet and playwright, at home and abroad, people tend to focus much on Yeats＇ passion and love of Maud Gonne, a beautiful Irish actress. Most of them believe that in Yeats＇ poems, Yeats eulogizes her beauty and his own sadness because of loss of love. By classifying and summarizing numerous female images in Yeats＇ poems,we can know that there is versatility of female images in Yeats＇ poems,as well as richness in expression.
