和谐社会既是时代的主题也是时代的需要。和谐社会的建设需要每一个社会单元的参与和支持。民族地区高校图书馆起着保存人类文化遗产、开展社会教育、传递信息、培养高素质人才、辅助研究、文化传播等作用。为构建和谐社会,其应该加强学生的信息素质教育、网络学术信息资源的搜集和保存、地方文献的建设和开发等工作。

Harmonious society is the theme and need of our times, meanwhile the construction of harmonious society needs support and participation from all social units. Libraries in minority area play an important role in cultural heritage, community education, information transmission, high quality talent training, research support, etc. It is a must to strengthen training in information technology, network resources searching and storing, keeping file for local construction.
