摘要
左宗棠曾掌教醴陵渌江书院,掌教时间有多说,应以道光十六年（1836）至十七年（1837）为准。他离开渌江书院的原因,一是向往仕途,不甘于作“句读师”;一是孤独感。他在醴陵的收入不算菲薄,属中等水平。左氏离开醴陵后,与他有关的醴邑人士多为其昔日诸生及某些官场中人物,不少有姓名可考。
ZUO Zong-tang was once the president of the Lujiang Academy of Liling County. Of different versions of his presidential time, the period from 1836 to 1837 is the right one. As for the causes of his leaving the academy, one is his longing for official career and the other is his loneliness. ZUO Lived a middle-class life in Liling. After his leaving, his former students and some other officials kept contact with him, names of whom can be verified.
