Researching on Chinese characteristic urbanization

从战略层面上看,中国的城镇化必须建立具有较高现代化水平的资源节约、布局合理的在大中小城市和小城镇协调发展的紧凑型城镇体系;必须发展大城市、发展城市群、发展县城镇,应避免高度城镇化、高速城镇化和美国那样的蔓延型郊区化。

This article analyzes current urbanization situation of China and the problems existing. It illustrates urbanization of China strategically from six aspects. It points out that it is necessary to establish compact town system which includes the coordination between modern cities of energy saving and reasonable arrangement and small towns. It emphasizes the development of big city, city agglomeration and towns. It doesn＇t support high urbanization, high-speed urbanization and USA mode of spreading urbanization.
