论阮元经世致用思想的学术特色

An Analysis on Ruan Yuan's Thought of Integrating Academic Study with Practical Application.

阮元生当乾嘉汉学风靡之时,深受汉学皖派训诂以明义理之学风的影响,为学扬汉抑宋,注重“实事求是”,但他没有仅仅满足于做书斋式学问,而是主张学以致用。他不仅通过训诂方法将儒学若干核心概念如“格物”、“一贯”等解为“实事”、“实行”,阐明“圣贤之道,无非实践”,而且将学术有机地运用到实际政务之中,使其经世致用思想具有显著的学术特色。

Ruan Yuan （1764-1849） was a very famous scholar during the reigns of Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty.He was deeply affected by the school of the Han Learning,agreed with the scholastic method of finding the Yi-Li from phonetics and etymology.Ruan was appointed high official for long time, therefore his academic thought reflects a characteristic of ＂practical use＂. He stressed the academic study for the sake of application and explained some Confucian key words such as ＂Guan＂, ＂Gewu＂ from the perspective of ＂practical actions＂ and ＂practical things＂ by means of exegetical studies of ancient texts. He made full use of the academic study to play an assistant role on his daily official affairs successfully, and made considerable achievements.
