The regional geology and stratigraphic development around Gaoyou City are presented in the text. Through a study of structure and the development of diabase, the authors analyze the distribution characters of geoheat anomaly. In combination with the physical properties, water yield and water-yielding property of each reservoir, the authors predicate that the southwest of Gaoyou City is a favorable area for the utilization of geoheat resources.
