After the Second World War, there was great restriction on the amount of characters used for while. Japanese names are prescribed in a concrete way. The number of common Chinese characters was kept constant; characters for Japanese names had gone through several adjustments gradually from small to big scales from 1981 onwards. This essay recognizes the great influence of modern technology on the lenient policy of the usage of Chinese characters in Japan. The strong cultural characteristics of the usage of Chinese characters in Japanese names Promotes not only a serious consideration of the number and the print of the Chinese characters, but also pronunciation. It is suggested that common Chinese characters and Chinese characters in Japanese names will undergo changes in the future.
