An Exploration to the Empirical Study and Econometric Techniques of Internal Efficiency of Higher Education Institutions

摘要 本文考察了普通最小二乘法、数据包络分析方法和随机前沿分析方法三种方法在高等学校办学效率研究中的应用,对比并总结了三种方法的特点及其适用的研究范围。 This paper reviews the literature of internal efficiency of higher education institutions, in which the econometric techniques of Ordinary Least Square, Data Envelopment Analysis and Stochastic Frontier Analysis were applied. Based upon the literature review, the paper compares the three research methods and econometric techniques, summarizes their specific characteristics, and points out their applications respectively.
