This paper describes the architecture and characteristics of an ATM satellite broadband integrated service communication network. A DAMA solution to the bandwidth allocation of satellite channels is presented. The related aspects of UNI signaling and internetworking protocol for the ATM satellite broadband integrated service communication network are investigated in detail.
