本文首次提出了一种测量液体三阶极化率的实验方法．它克服了以往测量方法中实验装置复杂的缺点，消除了空气和容器的三次谐波信号对测量结果的影响，从而排除了实验中的系统误差．在实验上对推拉到偶氛有机材料的三阶极化率X（3）进行了测量．

Measurement of third order nonlinear susceptibility of liquid in third harmonicgeneration experiment has been studied-We have reported a method to measure third ordersusceptibility of liquid with a new technique. The influence of third order harmonic gener-ation from cell and air can be removed in experiment without enforcing strict requirementof experimental equipment.Third order nonlinear susceptibility of push-pull azobenzenecompounds have been measured with this technique.
