阐述了在自然地理和国家政策的影响下,京杭大运河沿岸聚落的分布特征;介绍了在运河的重要作用下,沿岸聚落的逐渐形成和发展过程。结合典型实例,分析了由粮仓、码头、江运交汇处等原因形成的聚落,进一步总结出运河沿岸聚落的分布规律。

This paper exposes the distribution characteristics of the settlements along the Beijing- Hangzhou Grand Canal with the influence of natural geography and government policy, It shows that the settlements along the canal were formed and developed with the affection of the canal. The paper sums the disciplines of the settlements＇ distribution and analyzes a variety of settlements that were turned form the granary warehouses, the terminals, and the interchanges of the canal and rivers with the lists of certain example cities.
