This article compares and contrasts two Anti -Japanese Boycott movements in the 20th century of the United States of America. While one Anti - Japanese Boycott movement took place in the 1930s, the other was between mid - 1970s and the beginning of 1990s. These two movements are sharply different in terms of processes, participants, and results. The theme of the earlier movement was to protest Japanese aggression in China. It was a just mass movement at the time when Japanese militarism endangered the peace of the world in general and of Asia in particular. On the contrary, the other so - called Anti - Japanese Boycott movement did not have such a justified aim. Indeed, it was a wrong approach to solve the problems in American society, and it was plagued by American racism against Asians.
