The publicity and consultancy activi- ties of the national“Work Safety Month”opened in the Temple of Earth,Beijing on June 10th.Han Qide,Vice Chairman of the Stand- ing Committee of National People's Congress,Li Yizhong,the Director of the State Administration of Work Safety,and other leaders took part in the event.Li Yizhong elaborated on the focus of the work safety ef- forts for this year,and stressed that we should always rely on the party committees and governments at all levels,relevant government departments,and various enterprise and public institutions,and the gen- eral public for enhancing work safety efforts.The activities of“Work Safety Month”of this year should focus on publicizing work safety theory with safe development as its center,in order to enhance the un- derstanding of the laws of work safety.We should publicize work safety policies and measures which include 12 major fundamental measures,in order to enhance the whole society's confidence in doing a good job in work safety.The ac- tivities received active participation and response from the general pub- lic and have achieved expected results.
