From Vassal State to Colonial Nation——on Vietnam's Foreign Relation(1804-1885)

阮朝是越南历史上最后一个封建王朝。随着工业文明降临于世,阮朝对外关系的危机和契机同期出现。中越宗藩关系走向瓦解有着必然性,然而阮朝却存在避免沦为殖民地的可能性。但阮朝未能把握此契机,最终历经由中国的藩属国向法国的殖民地转型。

Ruan Dynasty is believed to be the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam. As industrial culture appeared, Ruan＇ crisis and opportunity came together： a breakup with China was inevitable, but there was possibility to avoid colonization. However, Ruan lost its opportunity and was colonized by France.
