Discussion on the updating of Japan building fire safety regulations

2000年6月日本对《建筑基准法》作了全面修订,标志着日本的建筑物防火性能化设计和评估有了法律保障。从日本的建筑防火设计规范体系入手,侧重于《建筑基准法》的全面修订,分析其主要特点,介绍了目前日本建筑物防火安全设计与评估运作模式,以期为我国建筑防火规范体系的修订和完善提供参考和借鉴。

Building Standard Law of Japan was comprehensively modified and enforced from June, 2000. Since then, it indicates that the performance-based design and assessment for building fire safety has acquired the legal position in Japan. In order to provide some useful reference to the revision of the building fire safety code system in our country, this paper briefly introduces the building fire safety design code system of Japan, topics on the modification of Building Standard Law, and analyses the mainly characteristics, presents the development of building fire safety design and assessment of Japan.
