The design and implementation of MIS for Highway Company based on . Net platform and Smart Client were described. Web Service was used to integrate different data systems and encapsulate business logic, and Smart Client was used to provide an application program, which was convenient in disposition and management, quick to respond, rich in user＇s interfaces, and able to work offline. The whole system is more practical and reliable.
