摘要
优选论(Optimality theory简称OT)的产生对当代生成音系学理论中存在的长期困扰人们的许多问题进行了科学的解释.OT倡导的制约条件交互观,为我们对语言现象的分析提供了新视角.介绍了自OT产生以来对忠实性制约条件的认识,还以对Altaic语言和Yokuts语言中元音圆唇现象的处理为实例,简单介绍位置忠实性制约条件并重点说明其具体操作.
Optimality theory provides us with a new perspective to analyze language and it has solved many problems in generative phonology. This paper introduces IO-Faithfulness constraint, which is demonstrated by its operation dealing with the vowel roundness phenomena in Altaic and Yokuts.
