Today, fifteen years after the disintegration of the former Soviet Union, the media industry in Russia has come to a new stage of development. It is of great significance to summarize and analyze the modem Russian media for the last fifteen yeas because it not only reflects the development of Russian society but the spiritual life of common Russian people as well. Media, together with the modem Russian paintings, photographic art and other elements consist of an important part of the modem Russian culture. Media, due to its peculiarity in its development, appears to be more mysterious and this mystery proves to be one of the important characteristics of the modem Russian culture.
