Analysis on Space Differentiations of Regional Development by SOM Networks

区域发展空间差异是目前实施区域可持续发展战略面临的一大现实问题。本文以广东省为例,开展区域发展空间差异SOM网络判定研究,分析广东省区域发展空间差异的影响因素,探讨SOM网络在区域发展空间差异判定中的适用性。结果表明:①广东省区域发展空间格局可划分为两大类型:珠三角区域组与外围区域组,珠三角区域间的发展差异整体上要大于外围区域间的发展差异;②广东省区域发展空间格局现状是区域自然条件、"梯度推移"发展战略、人口素质以及政府管理水平等因素长期共同作用的结果;③SOM网络具有对样本质量要求不高、可视化能力强等优点,在区域发展空间差异定量化研究中具有良好的应用前景。

That the space differentiations of regional development are very important to the policy enforcement of a region. Take Guangdong Province for instance, they were studied by means of SOM networks in this article.Then the influential factors were analyzed and the applicability of SOM networks on space differentiations of regional development was discussed. The results showed that ：①The space pattern of regional development of Guangdong Province could be divided into two kinds of type, of which one was the Pearl River Delta and the other was its periphery. As a whole, the development differentiations among cities of the Pearl River Delta were larger than that of the peripheral regions. ②The space pattern of development were resulted from the long-time evolution and interaction between the factors such as the natural conditions, regional gradient-passing development strategy, population quality and operating capability of the regions and so on. ③For the advantages of little requires on sample quality and better visualization, SOM networks is of good promise in the quantitative study fields on space differentiations of regional development.
