In order to link up the new and old Ei system,this paper compares the Ei search terms before and after the reform Through comparison,it is concluded that the reformed Ei system is more convenient and direct for searching most subjects,especially fit for computer search However,the insufficient indexing depth for some complicate subjects make them difficult for manual search.
