This paper discusses the foreign patent retrieval CD ROMs and specification CD ROMs according to the holdings of British Library.The details of three kinds of patent retrieval CD ROMs,ESPACE/ACCESS,ESPACE/BULLETIN and SNAP,as well as the patent specification CD ROMs of United States,Great Britain,Germany,France,Japan,Austria,Spain,Europe and PCT are introduced.The functions of patent retrieval CD ROMs and specification CD ROMs are summarized and differentiated.
