On Important Viewpoints of Western Imagery Theory

诗以语言的方式拥有世界,诗歌语言以意象的方式表现世界。西方的意象理论发展较晚又受到中国古典意象理论的影响。本文重在总结和梳理西方理论语境中的意象概念及西方意象论的主要观点。

The poetry takes possession of the world by verses which can reaveal the world in images. In the West, the imagery theory developed later than its Chinese counterpart and was influenced by it. This paper mainly discusses the concept of Western ＂image＂and concludes some important viewpoints of Western imagery theory.
