Damon 2^(TM)与传统托槽矫治器初戴疼痛不适的比较

A Comparison of the Degree of Pain/discomfort between Patients with Damon 2^(TM) and Conventional Brackets During Initial Alignment

目的比较初戴Damon 2TM自锁托槽矫治器与传统直丝弓托槽矫治器患者疼痛与不适的发生情况,为临床应用提供参考。方法选择上下同步采用Damon 2TM自锁托槽矫治器矫治、平均年龄为15.96岁的患者30例,发予问卷,记录戴矫治器后的前7 d疼痛和(或)不适的发生、强度以及对睡眠的影响,并与同期采用直丝弓托槽矫治器、平均年龄为15.77岁的30例患者作对照比较。结果2组患者在戴固定矫治器后前7 d疼痛和(或)不适总发生率、逐日发生率和强度以及对睡眠的影响差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。Damon 2TM自锁托槽组中部分患者的疼痛和(或)不适来自矫治器本身对颊侧软组织的刺激。结论戴Damon 2TM自锁托槽矫治器与传统直丝弓托槽矫治器后的前7 d,2组患者疼痛与不适的发生率及强度相似。Damon 2TM矫治器对颊侧软组织的刺激,可通过预防、干预减轻症状。

Objective To compare the pain/discomfort in patients with Damon 2^TM brackets and conventional straight wire brackets during initial alignment. Methods 30 patients with a mean age of 15.96 years old treated with Damon 2^TM on both upper and lower arches were surveyed with questionnaire. The occurrence and intensity of pain/discomfort, as well as the interference on sleep within the first 7 days after archwire placement were recorded and then compared with a control group with the same number of patients with a mean age of 15.77 years old treated with conventional straight wire brackets. Results No significant differences were demonstrated in the overall rates of occurrence, the daily rates of occurrence, the intensity of pain/discomfort, and the interference on sleep recorded for both groups within the observation period （ P 〉 0.05）. The pain/discomfort for some patients with Damon 2^TM was irritated by the appliance stimulation on buccal tissue. Conclusion Within the first 7 days of archwire placement, the occurrence and intensity of pain/discomfort experienced by both the Damon 2^TM and the conventional straight wire brackets groups are similar. The irritation of the buccal tissue caused by the Damon 2^TM appliance could be released with appropriated preventive and interference measures.
