The creation of artistic conception is the highest level of Chinese garden art. In this paper, garden conception and the creation of garden conception were analyzed. It was expounded that artistic conception was not only the aesthetic characteristic of Chinese garden, but also the marrow of classical garden that modern landscape plan should inherit. The aim of this article was to find out the suitable way to inherit and develop artistic conception.
