The performance characteristics and cultivation techniques of a new soybean variety Hefeng50 were introduced in this paper. The growth and development stage of the variety, which behaved strong stem, short nodes and close pod, is adaptive to Hailun region. The yield of Hefeng50 increased significantly in many demonstrated sites in 2006. This variety could have high yield potential by precise cultivation, balance fertilization and field management measures.
